AUTHORS Mike Anane is editor of The Triumph newspaper and founding president of the League of Environment Journalists in Ghana. Katongo Chisupa is a journalist working for the Environmental Council of Zambia. Sandie Mbanefo Obiago is a journalist/videographer who has spent the last five years reporting on the environment and producing development films on sub-Saharan Africa for the World Wide Fund for Nature. Mamadou Lamine Thiam is Senior Programme Officer at the Forum of African Voluntary Development Organizations (FAVDO). Massé Lo works for ENDA Tiers-Monde in Dakar and has been extremely active in energy and environmental policy and desertification issues. Stephen Kasere is Deputy Director of the Campfire Association, and Chairman of the newly-formed Association of Sustainable Land Use Systems in Zimbabwe. Ruth Ansah Ayisi is Information Officer for UNICEF in Mozambique and worked as a freelance journalist in Mozambique for five years. Melaku Worede is Scientific Advisor to the Seeds of Survival/Ethiopia Programme and Chair of its Executive Committee. Jason S. Ogala is a Senior Lecturer in Earth Sciences at the University of Nairobi and has been active in the climate change debate. Ole Komuaro is founder of the Olmaa Development Association in Kenya, an indigenous people's umbrella group. Jean-Marie Tchaptchet is General Coordinator of the NGO SOS Grassroots Environment in Africa. The views expressed in this publication are those of the authors.
