Advancing Work on Adaptation to Climate Change: A UN system perspective

Adaptation Policy Paper

This policy brief is a collective product of the UN system agencies, funds, programmes and regional commissions that have come together under the UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination (CEB) Climate Change Action Framework to support Member States in addressing climate change in all its aspects. It is a tangible manifestation of the UN system’s commitment and ability to assist countries, in particular developing countries, in adapting to the impacts of climate change while tackling poverty and achieving sustainable development for their peoples.

The United Nations system is committed to supporting Member States in responding to the climate change adaptation challenge by delivering as one at the global, regional and country levels on the basis of its convening, normative and advocacy role, its sectoral expertise, and its operational and coordination capabilities, in partnership with all relevant stakeholders.
