At its 28th Session, the ACC/SCN unanimously agreed that the following wording should be incorporated into the UNGASS Outcome Document, paragraph 30, bullet 10, page 7. This text will serve to sharpen a focus on iron nutrition. "Through public-private collaboration, ensure progress toward substantial reduction in anaemia, including iron deficiency in children and in women, and the elimination of vitamin A deficiency disorders, by 2010; and achieve sustained elimination of iodine deficiency disorders by 2005." |
