Objectives of Session:

  • to have consensus and improved definition on the roleBF/CF in support specific MDGs
  • to offer ideas for Infant feeding to be included in the MDG country analysis
  • to discuss a Goal for 2015
  • to discuss the inclusion of BF in economic analyses

0835-0905 Interest Groups e.g., Exclusive breastfeeding, continued breastfeeding, Code, complementary feeding, HIV and infant feeding, multisectoral involvement (written updates by multilaterals, bilaterals, and NGOs, as well as interest groups, to be distributed)
0905-0920 Discussion of setting Breastfeeding Goal(s)
Brief presentation concerning setting a Goal vis a vis WBW theme of Exclusive breastfeeding, the gold standard. Discussion
0920-0930 Wrap-up: Task Force function and need/MDGs/Goals
