Steering Committee

The SCN Chair, in broad consultation with the SCN, appoints Steering Committee members for a two to three year period. The Committee includes at least five UN agency members, and at least one Bilateral and NGO/Civil Society member. The Steering Committee guides and monitors the implementation of the Strategic Plan as well as the implementation of recommendations arising from SCN Working Groups, and identifies new issues to be addressed by the SCN. Steering Committee members regularly communicate with the wider SCN body on the work of the Committee, its actions and draft proposals. The Committee reports to the SCN Chair.
